good morning everybody. it is true that most of us value honesty highly. however, nowadays we often confront confidence crisis such as cheating, overcharging, fake commodities and so on. i think that we should be honest because being honest is not only beneficial to ourselves but also to others and the whole society. the reasons can be listed as , only honest people can be truly respected by the others and can make more friends over a long period of time.
secondly, honesty, which is the traditional virtue of the chinese people, can make our life easier and more harmonious. thirdly, honesty can make our society more stable. a case in point is that singapore, a society featuring trustworthiness and integrity, has a comparatively low criminal rate.
responsbility can be understood in many ways. for the parents , they have had the responsibility for caring for and fostering their children since the birth of their teachers,both in kindergartens and colleges,they also should be responsible for the study and life of their students,that is to say,teahers are the second parents of children somewhile.
for us,as a friend of others,it is our responsibility to help our friends when they are in trouble or faced with difficulties. each one has the different responsibily based on their roles but we must take it for granted that we are responsible for the society.

东方，东方，上课啦!”
校长一声大喊，如同晴天霹雳，震得大地在响，名叫东方的小男孩，如梦初醒，连跑带爬越上台阶，拉响那个挂在屋檐口的铜钟。
那个钟声陪伴他五年时光，尤其是后面三年，他有了一项光荣的任务，就是负责敲钟，用“敲”其实并不十分恰当，用“拉”或“摇”更恰当，一条长长的细绳，或铁线紧紧绑住钟锤，随着细绳或铁线的摆动，钟锤撞到钟壁，铜钟就咣咣当当地响，这是上下课的信号。
他没有想到小学阶段的最后三年，他要接受这个不算繁重的任务，一干竟要三年，而且不能有差错，他不允许自己有差错，自从接过师兄的班后，他尽职尽责，准时按点地拉响那个钟。
而唯独这次，他和同学们在操场上奔跑，太尽兴了，竟忘乎所以，忘忆了上课的时间，竟然没敲钟，整个学校沉浸在一片欢乐之中，学生没回教室，老师也没有进教室，校长站在阳台上，撒破喉咙大喊，东方一激灵，浑身一颤，糟糕怎么忘了，这是他第一次听到校长大喊，喊他的名字，上课啦，而他竟然忘了自己的职责，这是他的一次，忘了时间，忘了自己的义务。
敲钟并不是多大的事，但也不是小事，就因为他没有拉响那个铃，整个校园沸腾一片，像节日那样地狂欢，整个学校没有沉静下来，他没有想到，还好校长认识他，也允许他犯这样的错，并没有批评他，而他也就在这份守时的约定中成长，长大后被自己理解为责任。
多年后，他成了一所基层小学的校长，学校离家远，地处偏僻，远离镇区，那是一个令人丧气，提不起激情的地方，但他就凭年少时的那份笃定，认真，甚至如他说的责任，上好每一节课，当好每一天校长，他没有沮丧，没有别人想象的沮丧，他应该沮丧，但他不，依然饱含着热情，激情，尽职尽责地完成每一项任务。当然，他也不认为校长算什么，他不是官，他只有一份责任。
以前敲钟的时候，数学老师的课很精彩，他很想认真听，绝不分神，但还是不时地瞄一下手表，下课了，还是要准时敲钟，他铭记于心，这是他神圣的职责，也是一份细小的认定，让他变成一种操守，因为自一次不经意地疏忽，让他记住了一辈子，整个学校还在喧哗中。
